10 &17 May-Neil M USAGE Helmsdale & L Carron (towed N MacI) Ran well, except sounder.

Sounder still barely functioning (power supply plug corroded/salty at
least). We had flat battery problems Friday eve and Saturday apparently
resolved by fully disconnecting the sounder. 2.
Oil level low (my oversight) caused engine pre-warnings at sea Sunday -
I've bought extra+topped up but extra onboard spare oil needed. 3. Elephant trunk perished at base & letting in water 4. LH trailer tyre may have slow leak -had to inflate just before return to Donald 5. Some grabropes along side need refix 6. New aerial still needed - VHF ok but less effective. 7.
Had used 64l of tank 70l capacity by Sunday evening (Left my 5l sparecan in the car - has club still got it's own 5l can?) 8. Engine ran fine (when given battery & fuel!) -but check when engine last serviced? 9. I have a small allweather notebook to put on the RIB if we agree folk will try brief logging of RIB's activity/work... ? July/ Aug{2-3 outings?? start - Battery near flat; sounder was ready-connected. Battery still
inadequate after 1+hours' running. Needs check? +signs of sounder etc current leakage?
